Legendary UK Producer Terry Stephens is this Week’s Guest on Adult Site Broker Talk
Naked Truth Guy’s Terry Stephens sold porn on VHS when it was illegal in the mid-1990s before a serendipitous encounter with a customer gave him the chance to make his first amateur film. He was raided two years later after becoming an amateur producer on Your Choice’s Viewers Wives series in Holland. A two-year lawsuit followed.
Terry’s new One-Eyed Jack gonzo videos garnered him a 7-movie distribution deal to produce new pictures for Extreme Associates in the US, but the company experienced troubles and stopped at 5 films.
Terry founded Wrist Action Entertainment with a partner to distribute DVDs to UK sex shops. UK Adult Producers was formed from an accidental meeting of producers to start an association called “Producers for A Pint” to develop standards for a new legal sector.
UKAP (as it was later known) was a group of producers who engineered the much-needed changes in a largely unregulated business that later found itself defending the right to produce adult content for sale in the UK and its numerous challenges from R18 Online, ATVOD, and Age Verification while gaining momentum with his award-winning series Real Couples (featured on Playboys Sexcetera) and juggling productions and daily politics.
Terry was the default chairman for five years and handled the UKAP Awards from 2014 to 2018. Terry lives in Bulgaria and develops his website and business since the outbreak.
